Simplicity, Kindness, and Sincerity Shine Like Gems in Everyday Life

Simplicity, kindness, and sincerity shine like gems in everyday life.
Someone online said that after leaving a small county town in Yunnan and returning to Shanghai, they felt much more restless, chaotic energy. It was nothing like Yunnan, where the simplicity and kindness that greeted them felt like air rich in oxygen and negative ions, leaving them refreshed and clearheaded.
But the energy of simplicity and kindness is still everywhere in everyday life:

  1. Several of the staff at the apartment building are wonderful—quick-witted and experienced, yet also unassuming, patient, and young: a young woman from Anhui, a young man from Henan.
  2. Several of the security guards in the residential complex are very courteous and warm.
  3. The owner of the nearby laundry is busy and experienced, and charges reasonable prices.
  4. The nearby steamed-bun shop makes delicious buns.
  5. The mother and son who run the nearby vegetable shop are both welcoming and capable.
  6. In the voices of so many JD delivery workers, I still hear sincerity and competence. The young men working on the metro are all professional, sincere, and capable. Ordinary people in ordinary jobs are each holding fast to the qualities they value in their own lives.
  7. You can see that every person is caught in the whirlpool of their own life. Many wrap themselves in thick layers of defense, but when you ask them for help, they will still step out of their castles and show you who they really are.
