Karmic Obstacles Series

Young People Growing Up in Unhealthy, Toxic Environments Shaped by NPD

Young people who grow up in unhealthy, toxic environments shaped by NPD take manipulative deception, hypocrisy, parasitic exploitation, and brainwashing at face value, and take people’s probing, polite formalities, and performances as sincere. They believe that beatings, scolding, harshness, and coldness are all love. They simply keep giving their sincerity to the wrong people. Or they go to the other extreme, seeing everyone as an enemy, believing that human nature is evil and that everyone is out to use them.

They cannot distinguish truth from falsehood, good from evil, the good from the bad, or right from wrong. Karmic obstructions are frightening. Returning to simplicity is somewhat harder.

Children born into simple, unpretentious surroundings and families have already won at the starting line. To be born into love is to be one of the lucky one in a thousand.

From another perspective, most young people who grow up in such terrible environments are merely ignorant; they have not become toxic or developed NPD. This also shows that everyone has innate wholeness, that human nature is good, and that everyone has Buddha-nature.

That is why “Connecting with the Simple, Genuine Goodness and Beauty of Working People at the Bottom of Society” is such an important lesson. I recommend *Tan Tan Traffic*.
