I Look Up at the Sky: My Future Self Is Gazing Gently at My Present Self

I Look Up at the Sky, and My Future Self Gazes Tenderly at My Present Self

I look up at the sky, and my future self gazes tenderly at my present self.
I feel my future self gazing tenderly at my present self.
I look up at the sky, making a connection with my future self. Behind him stretches a vast, boundless expanse of stars.
Who can look upon this little world and its circumstances in the present with complete knowledge and power, fully understanding who I am now? Only my future self.
No injustice will go unacknowledged; no effort will be in vain. I bear witness to it all.
All resentment, refusal to accept, and resistance will eventually find release in the autumn wind; all confusion will eventually unravel in the winter wind; all hardship will eventually give way to openness in the spring wind; all pain will eventually return to tranquility in the summer wind.
And my true nature remains clear and pure, always whole, neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor diminishing, never extinguished, endlessly renewing itself.
Beneath the tender gaze of my essential self, my little ego melts like ice and snow.
This little world and my present self have never been isolated. My connection with my past and future selves remains unbroken, passing through countless present moments. My true nature roams the infinite. My mind wanders freely through the world.
Ability, career, fame, and fortune are merely outward appearances and encounters along the way. I roam along the trajectory of my destiny. In an empty room, light arises; what illuminates my destiny and nourishes me is always the radiance of my true nature.
“This little world” is merely the limit of my attention in the present. Hardship often originates in the mind—in tunneled attention and narratives of catastrophe. My little ego spins a cocoon around itself, confined within a tiny space, within time and space, panicking in this little world. A new little ego is born: a prisoner of its little world, a frog at the bottom of a well.
