Keeping a Diary Is Our True Path to Communion with Spirits, the Divine, and the Buddha

Writing a Diary Is Our True Channel for Communing with Spirits, Communing with the Divine, and Worshipping the Buddha

Writing a diary means recording countless present moments of “moderate,” high, and low awareness, leaving them for reference in other present moments at other levels of awareness. During periods when we are not clearheaded, it lets us communicate with our clearheaded selves, our high-energy selves, our true nature, our Buddha-nature. The mind itself is Buddha. This is our true channel for communing with spirits, communing with the divine, and worshipping the Buddha.

This seems to be one of humanity’s few true techniques of “spiritual practice.” It also reveals that effort is a false concept: we find it quite difficult to learn this technique.

Why don’t people write diaries? Or why does their diary writing fail to have this effect? They lack the awareness (they don’t know this is possible), the capacity (mental energy, avoidance of pain and their darker sides), or the habit. Only after repeatedly being in a state of “awareness” and recognizing the wonder of diary writing do they keep at it—a result of growth, rather than its starting point.

Habit itself is a deep connection. Can we cultivate new habits through force of effort? No. Habit is mental energy–experience–connection, something natural.
