Simplicity, Kindness, and Sincerity Shine Like Gems in Everyday Life

Simplicity, kindness, and sincerity shine like gems in everyday life.

Someone online said:
After leaving a small county town in Yunnan and returning to Shanghai, I felt much more restless, chaotic energy around me. It was nothing like Yunnan, where the universal kindness that greets you feels like air rich in oxygen and negative ions, leaving you refreshed and clearheaded.

But the energy of simplicity and kindness is still everywhere in everyday life:

  1. Several of the staff at my apartment building are lovely: sharp and experienced, yet also unpretentious, patient, and young—a young woman from Anhui, a young man from Henan.
  1. Several of the security guards in the residential compound are very courteous and warm.
  1. The owner of the nearby laundry is busy and experienced, and charges reasonable prices.
  1. The steamed buns from the nearby bun shop are delicious.
  1. The mother and son who run the nearby vegetable shop are both friendly and efficient.
  1. The voices of so many JD delivery guys still sound down-to-earth and capable. The guys working on the metro are all professional, sincere, and capable. Ordinary people in ordinary jobs are all holding fast to the qualities that give their lives worth.
  1. You can see how each person is caught in the whirlpool of their own life. Many wrap themselves in thick layers of defenses, but when you ask them for help, they will still step out of their castles and reveal who they really are.
