Connection with Bright Spring Sunshine and Surging Spring Breezes
Connection with the Radiance of Spring and the Surging Spring Breeze
Connection with the radiance of spring and the surging spring breeze
In spring, in April and May, the sun shines brightly and the spring breeze surges. Branches covered in tender green sway and dance, their vitality free and spontaneous; the trees, tall and deeply rooted, are tranquil and steady. I feel peaceful and relaxed, covered in this radiance myself. An ordinary child like me, just like the singing orioles, dancing swallows, leaping insects, and fluttering butterflies, is an unconditional part of this radiant natural world.
This is one of many people’s foundational childhood memories.
Throughout my life, the radiance of spring and the surging spring breeze have pulled me out of despondency and decline countless times.
Through connection with nature and the tranquility of my primal self, I also connect with my own innate wholeness as a child, realizing that I have always been whole, always at one with heaven and nature. This is a fundamental point of entry for ordinary people to connect with their innate wholeness.
For many university students, an important part of preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination is rebuilding their connection with themselves and restoring their confidence in themselves—the confidence of innate wholeness, the confidence that they can find their own way out of the mire of confusion.
When many people decide to leave home like Nora or quit their jobs without another job lined up, they have no capital, technical skills, or network of contacts. All they have is faith in their innate wholeness. At the time, though, I did not know what innate wholeness was. I knew only that I would eventually be able to meet all kinds of challenges, that beautiful shoots would eventually grow from within me, and that I would eventually connect with the beauty in the world.
